This guide will help you install and set up the eGate Controller Pro to make your existing autogate smart and controllable via a mobile app.
Step 1: Purchase and Preparation
- Buy the eGate Controller Pro from Eden Robot.
- Scan the QR code provided in the package to access the tutorial.
Step 2: Installation and Setup
1. Download the App
- Install the app associated with the eGate Controller Pro on your smartphone. The app can be found in the App Store or Google Play.
2. Connect the Wiring
- Use the wiring diagram provided in the tutorial to guide you.
- Prepare a test pen. Make sure your setup matches the tutorial’s instructions. If your autogate model isn’t listed, take picture to customer service for guide.
- Ensure the power switch is OFF before proceeding.
3. Pair the eGate Controller Pro 2 with the Smart Life App
- Press and hold the pairing button on the eGate Controller Pro 2 until the LED starts blinking rapidly. This indicates the controller is in pairing mode.
- Open the app on your phone.
- Grant all necessary permissions when prompted.
- Click the top right button in the app to add a new device. The app will automatically detect the controller.
- Connect to your 2.4 GHz Wi-Fi network (make sure it’s not a 5 GHz network) and enter your Wi-Fi password(make sure the password is correct).
- Wait for the pairing process to complete.
Step 3: Testing the Function
- Open the controller’s app interface.
- Test the gate control through the app to ensure everything is working correctly. (*Please take note there are some autogate boards that might not support single left or single right due to the autogate component)

- Make sure the controller is placed in an area with a strong Wi-Fi signal.
- If the app fails to detect the controller, restart the wifi and router and continue the pairing process.
